MOXIE
Moxie is a golden retriever, born May 20, 2022, who has been training in elementary and middle school classrooms since she was 12 weeks old. Moxie is happy to greet any human and she is very loving. She loves to give kisses and when she is super excited, she expresses her gratitude by offering hugs. she loves kids of all ages and she tries not to play favorites. Just like the students with whom she works, her favorite part of the school day is recess. She even goes down the slide with the kiddos. Moxie’s classroom experiences have included kindergarten, junior high and middle schools and even the gym. She isn’t easily startled and she will do well to move from classroom to classroom.
LACI
Laci is a golden retriever, born May 20, 2022, who has logged hundreds of hours in elementary classrooms. Her experiences have included being in the nurse’s office, working with counselors during one-on-one sessions, spending time in the library and general education classrooms. Laci accompanies students who are sad and she sits quietly while they read to her. Laci’s current teacher foster says she likes to “go shopping”, or move from student to student to get treats. She interacts with students in the classroom and she works with students who are behaviorally challenged. Laci will be successful in an elementary classroom that has structure. She will bond with her handler and with a few more months of training, Laci will be a solid school placement.
LOUIE
Louie, born May 20, 2022, is a golden retriever male who has served many hours in junior high school resource and content mastery classrooms. Louie has also spent time in the school office where he likes to greet parents, teachers and students in the mornings with a smile. Louie is very affectionate and he does his best work when his efforts to connect are reciprocated by the students and adults in the room. Louie is a big hugger and he will do anything for a treat. He likes adventures in the car and he shares his love with everyone, showing no partiality. Louie is an exceptionally pretty and genetically sound golden that may enter the breeding program. He shows no negative behaviors related to being intact, so it is possible that his new handler and Bella’s Buddies may agree to leave him intact in order to produce offspring with his conformation, health and temperament.
